ENDLESS ADORATION!
\n<\/strong>
\nThe vista of a praiseful life will never close,
\nbut continue throughout eternity.<\/p>\n

From psalm to psalm, from hallelujah to hallelujah, we will ascend the hill of the Lord; until we come into the Holiest of all, where, with veiled faces, we will bow before the Divine Majesty in the bliss of endless adoration! <\/strong>-Spurgeon, “Breaking the Long Silence”<\/em><\/p>\n

It is not enough to know by the Word that there is strength and righteousness in Christ, but the Spirit must open the eyes of the soul to see, else we shall only have a natural knowledge of supernatural things. I t is necessary to have a supernatural light to see supernatural things, so as to change the soul, and therefore the Spirit only works faith to see Christ is mine. Further, only the Spirit can lead the conscience to rest, because He is greater than the conscience, and can answer all inward objections and quibbles of flesh and blood; unless therefore the Holy Ghost does effectually apply what Christ has done, the conscience will not be satisfied.\u00a0 Richard Sibbes<\/p>\n

We cannot keep our eye too exclusively or too intently fixed on Jesus. All salvation is in Him. All salvation proceeds from Him. All salvation leads to Him. And for the assurance and comfort of our salvation we are to repose believingly and entirely on Him.<\/p>\n

Christ must be all!<\/strong><\/p>\n

Christ the beginning; Christ the center; and Christ the end.<\/p>\n

Oh sweet truth to you who are sensible of your poverty, vileness, and insufficiency,
\nand of the ten thousand flaws and failures of which, perhaps, no one is cognizant but

The disciples ought to have recognized Jesus, they had heard His voice so often, and gazed upon that marred face so frequently, that it is amazing that they did not know Him. Yet is it not so with you <\/em>also? Have you<\/em> seen Jesus lately? <\/strong>You have been to His table\u2014and you have not met Him there. You are in a dark trouble, and though He plainly says, “It is I\u2014do not be afraid,” yet you do not recognize Him. Alas! our eyes are blinded! We know His voice; we have looked into His face; we have leaned our head upon His bosom\u2014and yet, though Christ is very near us, we are saying, “O that I knew where I might find Him!”<\/p>\n

We should know Jesus, for we have the Scriptures to reflect His image. Yet how frequently we open that precious book\u2014and have no glimpse of our Well-beloved! Dear child of God, are you in that state? Jesus walks through the glades of Scripture, and desires to commune with His people. Yet you are in the garden of Scripture\u2014but cannot see Him, though He is always there!<\/p>\n

Make it your prayer, “Lord, open my eyes\u2014that I may see my Savior present with me!” It is a blessed thing to desire <\/em>to see Him. But oh! it is better far to gaze <\/em>upon Him! To those who seek <\/em>Him\u2014He is kind; but to those who find <\/em>Him\u2014He is precious beyond expression!<\/p>\n

A world without night! A heaven without a sun!<\/strong><\/p>\n

My soul! is it night with you here? Are you wearied with these midnight tossings on life’s tumultuous sea? Be still! The day is breaking! Soon shall your Lord appear! That glorious appearing shall disperse every cloud, and usher in an eternal noontide which knows no twilight. “The Lord will be your everlasting light \u2014 and your God will be your glory! Your days of sorrow will come to an end!” Everlasting light! Wondrous secret of a nightless world \u2014 the glories of a present God!<\/p>\n

Strange realities! A world without night! A heaven without a sun!<\/strong> And, greater wonder still, yourself <\/strong>in this world \u2014 a joyful citizen of this nightless, sinless, sorrowless, tearless Heaven \u2014 basking underneath the Fountain of uncreated light! No exhaustion <\/em>of glorified body and spirit to require repose; no lassitude <\/em>or weariness <\/em>to suspend the ever-deepening song, “Worthy is the Lamb, who was slain \u2014 to receive power and wealth and wisdom and strength and honor and glory and praise!”<\/p>\n

\nIt is the presence of Christ! The Christ who is God. “Immanuel, God with us!”<\/p>\n

The Christ who . . .made all worlds, created all beings, governs all empires,
\ncontrols all events! \u00a0The Christ who replenishes . . .earth with beauty,heaven with glory,
\neternity with song! The Christ before whom angels and archangels, principalities and powers bend, and at whose name every knee shall bow, and every tongue confess that He is Lord!<\/p>\n

The Christ . . .whose glory <\/em>is divine, whose beauty <\/em>is peerless, whose wealth <\/em>is boundless,
\nwhose love <\/em>is as infinite as His being!<\/p>\n

The Christ who . . .bore and put away your sins forever,uplifted and forever removed your curse, paid all your great debt to Divine justice, sorrowed for you in the garden,suffered and expired in your stead on the cross,rose from the grave, ascended up to heaven, lives and intercedes for you, representing your person and presenting your prayers and praises with ineffable acceptance and delight \u2014 to His Father and your Father, to His God and your God.<\/p>\n

“Lo, I<\/strong> am with you always! Mark! Behold! I the Incarnate God, I who opened my bleeding heart for your redemption on Calvary, I who am your dearest Friend \u2014 I am with you always, in all places, and at all times, unto the end of the world!”<\/p>\n

O honored saint of God! You have . . . the Divinest <\/em>in the universe to love you,
\nthe Mightiest <\/em>in the universe to shield you, the Loveliest <\/em>in the universe to delight you,
\nthe Dearest <\/em>in the universe to soothe, cheer, and gladden you! \u00a0O favored disciple of Jesus \u2014 you have such a one ever at your side!
\nThis is the promise of promises \u2014 the richest pearl of all the promises<\/em>, exceeding in its mightiness and preciousness; while it is the substance, sweetness, and pledge of all the rest!<\/p>\n

All that can possibly want!<\/strong><\/p>\n

Child of God, all that can possibly want<\/strong>
\nis treasured up in Christ! You have . . .
\nno cross<\/em>\u2014but Christ can bear it,
\nno sorrow<\/em>\u2014but Christ can alleviate it,
\nno corruption<\/em>\u2014but Christ can subdue it,
\nno guilt<\/em>\u2014but Christ can remove it,
\nno sin<\/em>\u2014but Christ can pardon it,
\nno need<\/em>\u2014but Christ can supply it!<\/p>\n

Lift up your heads, you who are poor, needy
\nand disconsolate! Lift up your heads, and
\nrejoice that Christ is ALL to you!
\nAll you need in this valley of tears<\/em>.
\nAll you will need in the deepest sorrow<\/em>.
\nAll you need under the heaviest affliction<\/em>.
\nAll you need in sickness<\/em>.
\nAll you will need in the hour of death<\/em>.
\nAll you will need in the day of judgment<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Indeed, Christ is IN ALL too.
\nHe is in all your salvation.
\nHe is in all your mercies
\nHe is in all your trials.
\nHe is in all your consolations.
\nHe is in all your afflictions.<\/p>\n

What more can you want? \u00a0\u00a0What more do you desire? \u00a0A Father<\/em> who loves you as the apple of His eye! \u00a0A full Savior<\/em> to whom to go, moment by moment!<\/p>\n

“Therefore let us approach the throne of grace with confidence\u2014so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.” Hebrews 4:16<\/p>\n

“Your eyes will see the King in His beauty!<\/strong>”
\nIsaiah 33:17<\/p>\n

Where in heaven or on earth can there be found such
\na lovely Object as the Son of God? If you have never
\nseen any beauty in Jesus . . .
\nyou have never seen Jesus,
\nHe has never revealed Himself to you,
\nyou never had a glimpse of His lovely face,
\nnor a sense of His presence,
\nnor a word from His lips,
\nnor a touch from His hand.<\/p>\n

But if you have seen Him by the eye of faith\u2014and
\nHe has revealed Himself to you even in a small
\nmeasure\u2014you have seen a beauty in Him beyond
\nall other beauties, for it is . . .
\na holy beauty,
\na divine beauty,
\nthe beauty of His heavenly grace,
\nthe beauty of His uncreated and eternal glory.<\/p>\n

How beautiful and glorious does He show Himself to be
\nin His atoning blood and dying love. Even as sweating
\ngreat drops of blood in Gethsemane’s gloomy garden,
\nand as hanging in torture and agony upon Calvary’s
\ncross\u2014faith can see a beauty in the glorious Redeemer,
\neven in the lowest depths of ignominy and shame!<\/p>\n

“How is your Beloved better than others?”
\n“My Beloved is dark and dazzling, better
\nthan ten thousand others!” Song 5:9-10<\/p>\n

\nPersonal, spiritual, experimental
\nknowledge of Jesus
\n<\/strong>
\nIt is our dim, scanty, and imperfect knowledge of
\nthe Lord Jesus Christ in His eternal love\u2014and in
\nHis grace and glory\u2014which leaves us so often cold,
\nlifeless, and dead in our affections towards Him.<\/p>\n

If there were more blessed revelations to our soul
\nof the Person and work, grace and glory, beauty and
\nblessedness of the Lord Jesus Christ\u2014it is impossible
\nbut that we would more and more warmly and tenderly
\nfall in love with Him\u2014for He is the most glorious object
\nthat the eyes of faith can see!<\/p>\n

He fills heaven with the resplendent beams of His
\nglorious majesty\u2014and has ravished the hearts of
\nthousands of His dear family upon earth by the
\nmanifestations of His bleeding, dying love. Just in
\nproportion to our personal, spiritual, experimental
\nknowledge of Him<\/strong>, will be our love to Him.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
