Our refuge!<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Lord is my rock, my fortress and my
\ndeliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take
\nrefuge. He is my shield and the horn of my
\nsalvation, my stronghold.\u201d Psalm 18:2<\/p>\n
On every side are hosts of enemies ever
\ninvading our souls, trampling down every
\ngood thing in our hearts, accompanied by
\na flying troop of temptations, doubts, fears,
\nguilt and bondage sweeping over our soul.
\nAnd we, as regards our own strength, are
\nhelpless against them.<\/p>\n
But there is a refuge set before us in the
\ngospel of the grace of God. The Lord Jesus
\nChrist, as King in Zion, is there held up
\nbefore our eyes as . . .
\nthe Rock of our refuge,
\nour strong Tower,
\nour impregnable Fortress;
\nand we are encouraged by every precious promise
\nand every gospel invitation when we are overrun
\nand distressed by these wandering, ravaging,
\nplundering tribes to flee unto and find a safe
\nrefuge in Him.<\/p>\n
