The law was not given to make me do good. It was not given to use as ruler to measure a pretense of goodness in me. God gave the law to shut my mouth (Romans 3: 19.) Thanks be unto God, by faith in Christ Jesus I have established the law, am not under it but am led by the Spirit of God (Romans 3: 31; 6: 14; Galatians 5: 18.)
