Prevenient Grace
\nWhat is Prevenient Grace? It is grace before grace, or that which is pre (before) convenient (purposed to an end)? In fact, it is everything, (yes, everything) a child of God experiences in life and thought prior to being effectually called to Christ by the Holy Spirit. Our Heavenly Father knows each one of His children perfectly. He has ordained a perfect set of circumstances for each one of them to be able to hear the gospel and believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. In the hand of our merciful, loving Father, it really is\u2026 \u201cAll Good\u201d.
\nBecause the reprobate enjoys the benefits of living in a world where God is providing for His people, some speak of God\u2019s \u201ccommon\u201d grace. There is nothing \u201ccommon\u201d about God\u2019s grace, and there is no such thing as grace that is not saving grace. Only God\u2019s elect receive God\u2019s grace, and everything they receive is by God\u2019s grace. \u201cI know the thoughts I have for you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.\u201d Jer. 29:11. \u201cAnd we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them that are the called according to His purpose.\u201d Rom. 8:28. \u2013Greg Elmquist

\u201cIt Is Finished\u201d, (John 19:30)
\nYears ago, someone asked me how long it took me to finish a painting. My answer was this, \u201cYou never finish a painting\u2026you just come to a stopping point.\u201d Concerning all efforts on man\u2019s part, nothing can truly be said to be finished. There is always something found, even with our most careful efforts that can be done to improve our labor.
\nBut concerning the work of the Lord Jesus Christ upon the cross of Calvary\u2026His death to satisfy the justice of God for an everlastingly loved people\u2026His death to put away the guilt of His bride by the shedding of His blood for her\u2026HE said\u2026\u201cIt is finished.\u201d By His declaration, we know that the debt and guilt of our sins has truly been paid and put away in His precious blood. According to His word, the sins of God\u2019s chosen people shall never be brought up before God or punished again\u2026This we know because the Father accepted His sacrifice on behalf of His sheep and proved His acceptance by raising Him from the dead.

Before Moses had to stand before the throne of Pharaoh on the sinful ground of Egypt, he had to stand before The burning fire of JEHOVAH, and had to hear the ALMIGHTY \u201cI AM\u201d cry: \u201cDraw not nigh hither: put off thy shoes from off of thy feet, for the place wherein Thou standest is holy ground.\u201d After Moses knew the horror and terror of standing before the Holy Judge of the earth, who holds the keys of hell and death in His hands; Who is not only able to kill the body, but is able to destroy both soul and body in hell! After that\u2026he did not fear what man could do to him! Standing before Pharaoh was easy.

When is a Sinner Saved?<\/p>\n
Men have debated this questions for millenniums. Most of the controversy stems from man\u2019s effort to reconcile the temporal to the eternal. Living in a world of time and space, he tries to define the when in this question as a single event! Scripture settles all controversies. So, what sayeth the scriptures?
\n1. God\u2019s elect were saved in the covenant of grace established by God in eternity past. II Timothy 1:9; Is. 45:17; II Thes. 2:13.
\n2. God\u2019s elect were saved when Christ bore their sins on Calvary\u2019s Cross 2000 years ago. Rom 5:9-10; Jer. 23:6.
\n3. God\u2019s elect are saved when they hear the gospel as the gospel and are made willing to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. Titus 3:5; Eph 2:8; Rom. 10:9-13.
\n4. God\u2019s elect are continuing to be saved as they are kept by the power of God to keep coming in faith to Christ. Is. 64:5; I Peter 2:4.
\n5. God\u2019s elect will be saved when they are taken to glory to see their Savior face to face and be made like Him (sinless). Rev.12:10; II Peter 3:12-15; I Peter 1:9.
\nAll five of these glorious truths (Election, Redemption, Regeneration, Sanctification and Glorification) are necessary for a sinner\u2019s salvation. Let others speak of when they \u201cgot saved\u201d. We don\u2019t hang the hopes of our salvation on one subjective experience in time. Our faith is in Him who does all the saving.
