{"id":574,"date":"2011-06-18T01:12:15","date_gmt":"2011-06-18T01:12:15","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.shoalhavengospelchurch.org.au\/?p=574"},"modified":"2011-06-18T01:13:29","modified_gmt":"2011-06-18T01:13:29","slug":"bulletin-articles-issue-75-june-2011","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.shoalhavengospelchurch.org.au\/?p=574","title":{"rendered":"Bulletin Articles Issue #75 June 2011"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>\u201cHe hath done all things well.\u201d M<\/strong><em>ark 7:37<\/em><\/p>\n<p>If these men and women who had seen our Savior\u2019s miracles were astonished and cried out, \u201c<em>He hath done all things well,<\/em>\u201d how much more astonished we ought to be who have tasted and experienced his grace! How much more we ought to confess to God our Savior, to the angels before his throne, to wondering worlds, and to one another, \u2014 \u201c<em>He hath done all things well!<\/em>\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>My Testimony<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Looking over all the days of my life and everything I have experienced these 55 years, I lift my heart to heaven and say, \u201c<em>He hath done all things well!<\/em>\u201d Like you, I\u2019ve had a few trials and heartaches, a little pain and sorrow, a little hurt and bitterness. (And, I am ashamed to confess, I have caused much more than I\u2019ve experienced.) But God my Savior has been so kind and gracious to me, that were I to die this day, you can write these words on my gravestone. \u2014 \u201c\u2018<em>He hath done all things well!<\/em>\u2019 Here lies a man who was for 55 years the benefactor of unceasing, special divine care. And \u2018My Jesus hath done all things well.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>A Question<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Tell me, you who know my Savior, can you not testify the same? \u2014 \u201c<em>He hath done all things well!<\/em>\u201d Does your own life\u2019s experience not verify this? I know it does.<\/p>\n<p>Yes, from first to last, \u2014 from the day of our birth to this very hour, \u2014 from the earliest pangs of sin\u2019s conviction to the blessed thrill of sin\u2019s forgiveness, \u2014 from the cradle to the grave, \u2014 from earth to heaven, \u2014 this will be our testimony regarding all the way our ever-gracious God has led us through this wilderness and every experience along the way, \u2014 \u201c<em>He hath done all things well!<\/em>\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In providence and in grace, in every truth revealed in his Word, in every token of his love, in every stroke of his rod, in every sunbeam of his goodness, in every cloud that has darkened our skies, in every sweet morsel he has put into our lives, in every bitter thing he has mixed into our cup, in all that has been mysterious, confusing, painful, and humiliating, in all that he has given, and in all that he has taken away,\u2014 \u201c<em>He hath done all things well!<\/em>\u201d This is, must be, and shall be our grateful acknowledgment through time and eternity. \u2014 \u201c<em>He hath done all things well!<\/em>\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Our great God and Savior who loved us, chose us, redeemed us, and saved us by his grace, who has kept us in all our ways, has done all things well! He who is our God is too wise to err, too strong to fail, and too good to do wrong.<\/p>\n<p>Study his universe, all the history of it, study his creation, his providence, his judgments and his grace, view them in every light, examine them in their most minute detail, as you would the petal of a flower, or the wing of an insect, study all with the microscopic eye of faith, and this will be your glad testimony to his praise, \u2014 \u201c<em>He hath done all things well!<\/em>\u201d<\/p>\n<p>&#8212;<\/p>\n<p><strong> <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong> <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cMany are searching for the true church and real Christians. I once thought that was a worthy endeavour. However, I have come to the conclusion that it would be better to simply search out the true Christ with the assumption that if I find Him, I will find the true church gathered at His feet and real Christians bowing before His throne.\u201d Joe Terrell<\/p>\n<p>&#8212;<\/p>\n<p><em>&#8220;He has done all things well!&#8221; <\/em>Mark 7:37\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <em><br \/>\n<\/em>By Octavius Winslow, \u201cThe sigh of Christ\u201d<br \/>\nYes, from first to last, from our cradle to our grave, from the earliest pang of sin&#8217;s conviction, to the last thrill of sin&#8217;s forgiveness, from earth to heaven \u2014 this will be our testimony in all the way the Lord our God has led us in the wilderness: <em>&#8220;He has done all things well!&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n<p>In <em>providence<\/em> and in <em>grace<\/em>,<br \/>\nin every <em>truth<\/em> of His Word,<br \/>\nin every <em>lesson<\/em> of His love,<br \/>\nin every <em>stroke<\/em> of His rod,<br \/>\nin every <em>sunbeam<\/em> that has shone,<br \/>\nin every <em>cloud<\/em> that has shaded,<br \/>\nin every element that has <em>sweetened<\/em>,<br \/>\nin every ingredient that has <em>embittered<\/em>,<br \/>\nin all that has been mysterious, inscrutable, painful, and humiliating,<br \/>\nin all that He <em>gave<\/em>,<br \/>\nin all that He <em>took<\/em> <em>away<\/em>,<br \/>\nthis testimony is His just due, and this our grateful acknowledgment through time and through eternity: <em>&#8220;He has done all things well!&#8221; <\/em><\/p>\n<p>Has He converted us through grace by a way we had thought the most improbable?<br \/>\nHas He torn up all our earthly hopes by the roots?<br \/>\nHas He thwarted our schemes, frustrated our plans, disappointed our expectations?<br \/>\nHas He taught us in schools most trying, by a discipline most severe, and lessons most humbling to our nature?<br \/>\nHas He withered our strength by sickness, reduced us to poverty by loss, crushed our heart by bereavement?<\/p>\n<p>And have we been tempted to exclaim, <em>&#8220;All these things are against me!&#8221;<\/em><br \/>\nAh! no! faith will yet obtain the ascendancy, and sweetly sing:<br \/>\n<em>&#8220;I know in all things that befell,<br \/>\nMy Jesus has done all things well!&#8221; <\/em><\/p>\n<p>Beloved, it must be so, for Jesus can do nothing wrong!<br \/>\nStudy the way of His <em>providence<\/em> and <em>grace<\/em> with the <em>microscopic eye of faith<\/em> \u2014 view them in every light, examine them in their minutest detail, as you would the petal of a flower, or the wing of an insect; and, oh, what wonders, what beauty, what marvelous adaptation would you observe in all the varied dealings with you, of your glorious Lord!<\/p>\n<p><em>He has done all things well.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ll sing of Jesus crucified,<br \/>\nThe Lamb of God who bled and died,<br \/>\nA healing balm, a crimson tide,<br \/>\nFlowed from His head, His feet, His side!<br \/>\nAbove the rest this note shall swell,<br \/>\n&#8216;My Jesus has done all things well.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>He sought me in the wilderness,<br \/>\nAnd found me there in deep distress;<br \/>\nHe changed and washed this heart of mine,<br \/>\nAnd filled me with His love Divine!<br \/>\nAbove the rest this note shall swell,<br \/>\n&#8216;My Jesus has done all things well.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>For what the Lord has done for me,<br \/>\nFor boundless grace so rich and free,<br \/>\nFor all His mercies that are past,<br \/>\nI&#8217;ll praise Him while my life shall last!<br \/>\nAbove the rest this note shall swell,<br \/>\n&#8216;My Jesus has done all things well.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>When sorrow&#8217;s waves around me roll,<br \/>\nHis promises my mind console;<br \/>\nWhen earth and hell my soul assail,<br \/>\nHis grace and mercy never fail.<br \/>\nAbove the rest this note shall swell,<br \/>\n&#8216;My Jesus has done all things well.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>When death shall steal upon my frame,<br \/>\nTo damp and quench the vital flame,<br \/>\nI&#8217;ll look into my Savior&#8217;s breast,<br \/>\nAnd there recline and sweetly rest.<br \/>\nAbove the rest this note shall swell,<br \/>\n&#8216;My Jesus has done all things well.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>And when we join the ransomed throng,<br \/>\nTo chant the sweet immortal song,<br \/>\nWith tuneful heart, and voice, and tongue,<br \/>\nWe&#8217;ll roll the lofty note along!<br \/>\nAbove the rest this note shall swell,<br \/>\n&#8216;My Jesus has done all things well.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>To Him who washed us in His blood,<br \/>\nAnd made us kings and priests to God;<br \/>\nHosanna we will ever sing,<br \/>\nAnd make the heavenly arches ring!<br \/>\nAbove the rest this note shall swell,<br \/>\n&#8216;My Jesus has done all things well.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;He has done all things well.&#8221; Mark 7:37<\/p>\n<p>&#8212;<\/p>\n<p>I can spend the rest of my life attacking, one at a time, every heretic who ever lied on God, by pointing out all the wrong things they say, and for every one I denounce, there will be a thousand more I will never have time to address. Or, I can just declare the truth of Christ and Him crucified, and thereby condemn them all at once while at the same time honoring Him Who is worthy and resting myself comfortably in Him. Ryle<\/a>)<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Christ is all.&#8221; Colossians 3:11<\/p>\n<p>True Christians have trustful thoughts of Christ.<br \/>\nThey daily lean the weight of their souls upon<br \/>\nHim by faith\u2014for pardon and peace.<\/p>\n<p>They daily commit the care of their souls to Him<br \/>\n\u2014as a man commits a treasure to a safe keeper.<\/p>\n<p>They daily cling to Him by faith\u2014as a child in<br \/>\na crowd clings to its mother&#8217;s hand.<\/p>\n<p>They look to Him daily for . . .<br \/>\nmercy,<br \/>\ngrace,<br \/>\ncomfort,<br \/>\nhelp,<br \/>\nstrength,<br \/>\nguidance.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Christ is . . .<\/strong><br \/>\nthe rock under their feet,<br \/>\nthe staff in their hands,<br \/>\ntheir ark and their city of refuge,<br \/>\ntheir sun and their shield,<br \/>\ntheir bread and their medicine,<br \/>\ntheir health and their light,<br \/>\ntheir fountain and their shelter,<br \/>\ntheir portion and their home,<br \/>\ntheir advocate and their physician,<br \/>\ntheir captain and their elder brother,<br \/>\ntheir life,<br \/>\ntheir hope,<br \/>\ntheir all.<\/p>\n<p>&#8212;<\/p>\n<p>The Gospel of God is not good advice, but good news.
