NO, of course you
aren’t, nor will you ever be, at least I hope not! The Bible does not say,
“Therefore being satisfied with our faith we have peace with God,” it says,
“Being justified by faith, we have peace with God.”

“I am not satisfied with my repentance.” That is wonderful! What
would you do with your repentance if you were satisfied with it? Would you
bring it to God instead of the blood? Oh, what pride and self-righteousness
must be in any person who is satisfied with his repentance and faith! That
person could never find true peace, for such a refuge of lies must fall.

“I am not satisfied with my love.” What? Did you expect, on this
earth to be satisfied with any grace found in you? It
is with Christ that we must be satisfied, not with ourselves, nor anything
about us! When we cease from ALL our labors, and ALL our righteousness, and
ENTER INTO HIS REST, pardon and peace will come without delay. – Horatius Bonar
(1809-1889)

Christ Jesus Came To Save Sinners

-Pastor David Eddmenson

This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that
Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief. (1Timothy
1:15)

There can be no grace where there is no guilt. There can be no
mercy where there is no sin. There can be no pardon unless there is a crime. If
you are not a sinner God will not show mercy to you. If you have no sin, God
will not give you pardoning grace.

Christ came into the world to save sinners. Are you a sinner? If
not, there is no pardon.

But God’s word answers the question. “For all have sinned, and
come short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23).

Yes, you are a sinner.

You, who have come short of the glory of God, why not come to
Christ who is God’s glory?

The heart of one regenerated by grace and made sensitive to the
presence of sin in his flesh will be expressed by the words of David, “Have
mercy upon me, O God, according to Thy lovingkindness: according unto the
multitude of Thy tender mercies blot out my transgressions.” The believer knows
that there is no area of his life, even those areas most precious…hearing the
Gospel preached, reading His blessed Scriptures, or seeking Him in prayer, that
is exempt from the need of the merciful application of His blood for purifying
of the defilement of sin.

– Pastor Marvin Stalnaker

For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the
man Christ Jesus; (1Timothy 2:5)

I must approach unto God by Christ Jesus because I am unholy, God
must approach unto me by Christ Jesus because HE IS HOLY. In Christ Jesus, I, a
poor sinner, and God, a Holy Heavenly Father, have an honest and sincere
communion one with another. His holiness is not violated and my sin is not
imputed but all is washed away. Oh, sweet fellowship! O, holy union! Oh, easy
walk! Oh, joyous friendship! Oh happy me! (1John1;7).
