The believer\u2019s eternal confession!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cBy the grace<\/strong> of God\u2014I am what I am!\u201d<\/em> 1 Corinthians 15:10

This is the believer\u2019s eternal confession!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Grace found him a rebel <\/em>against God\u2014it leaves him a son <\/em>of God!

Grace found him wandering at the gates of Hell<\/em>\u2014it leaves him at the gates of Heaven!

<\/em>Grace devised <\/em>the scheme of Redemption.
Justice <\/em>never would; reason <\/em>never could.
And it is grace which carries out<\/em> that scheme.

No sinner would ever have sought God\u2014but \u201cby grace.\u201d The thickets of Eden would have proved Adam\u2019s<\/em> grave\u2014had not grace called him out! Saul <\/em>would have lived and died the haughty self-righteous persecutor\u2014had not grace laid him low! The thief on the cross<\/em> would have continued breathing out his blasphemies\u2014had not grace arrested his tongue and tuned it for glory!

\u201cOut of the knottiest timber<\/em>,\u201d says Rutherford, \u201cGod can make vessels of mercy <\/em>for service in the high palace of glory!\u201d

\u201cI came, I saw, I conquered!\u201d may be inscribed by the Saviour on every monument of His grace<\/em>. \u201cI came <\/em>to the sinner; I looked <\/em>upon him; and with a look of omnipotent love\u2014I conquered <\/em>him!\u201d

Believer, you would have been this day a wandering star<\/em>, to whom is reserved the blackness of darkness forever! You would have been Christless, hopeless, and portionless; had not grace constrained <\/em>you! And it is grace which, at this moment, \u201ckeeps\u201d you.

You have often been a Peter<\/em>\u2014forsaking your Lord\u2014but brought back to Him again. Why have you not been a Demas <\/em>or a Judas? <\/em>\u201cI have prayed for you\u2014that your faith fail not!\u201d Is not this your own comment and reflection on life\u2019s retrospect: \u201cYet not I\u2014but the grace of God which was with me!\u201d

<\/em>Seek to realise your dependence <\/em>on this grace every moment.

\u201cMore grace! more grace!\u201d <\/em>needs to be your continual cry.

His infinite supply<\/em>\u2014is commensurate with your infinite need<\/em>.

The treasury of grace<\/em>, though always emptying\u2014is always full.

The key of prayer <\/em>which opens it\u2014is always at hand!

And the Almighty Bestower <\/em>of the blessings of grace\u2014is always \u201cwaiting to be gracious.\u201d

The recorded promise<\/em> can never be cancelled or reversed: \u201cMy grace is sufficient for you.\u201d

The grace of God is the source of lesser temporal <\/em>blessings\u2014as well as of higher spiritual <\/em>blessings. Grace accounts for the crumb of daily bread<\/em>\u2014as well as for the crown of eternal glory!<\/em>

But even in regard to earthly mercies, never forget the CHANNEL of grace: \u201cthrough Christ Jesus!\u201d<\/em> It is sweet thus to connect every blessing, even the smallest and humblest token of providential bounty\u2014with Calvary\u2019s cross\u2014to have the common <\/em>blessings of life stamped with \u201cthe print of the nails!\u201d It makes them doubly precious to think, \u201cAll this flows from Jesus!\u201d

\u201cBy the grace<\/strong> of God\u2014I am what I am!\u201d<\/em>
